So, there you are, sweating because you have just opened your bag full of clothes, and a realisation hits you: you’ve packed over five shirts, but there’s not a single pair of socks in sight. Sounds like a dreadful experience. Sounds like a dreadful experience, right? The minute you grab your bag to leave the house, so many thoughts and questions are swirling around in your head: How many outfits do I need to take? Did I bring my charger with me? What if I pack too much? Well, you need to know that travel preparation does not have to be a race against time with all that frantic rushing if you do things right.

Give yourself enough time. It is always a good plan to pack things up a little up front, for all that last-minute packing does is put you in a state of panic. Imagine this: it is already the hour of midnight, you’re half asleep, and you’re scraping all your things into your suitcase only to realise you’ve left your morning cream behind. Now that’s a scary thought .So, as suggested, lay out all of your items according to your planned itinerary and pack only the essential things, even if it’s as simple as a necessary trip over the weekend. There is no need to bring three pairs of shoes. In other words, if there are other items you’re doubtful about giving up, it is best to start with basic yet comfortable weather-efficient clothing and shoes.

With your departure approaching, it is time to start trusting the work you prepared. Pack your hand luggage with essentials: tickets, passport, wallet, a spare outfit, or anything that will provide you with the necessary peace of mind and help you avoid the usual travel blunders. Throw in travel-size toiletries, a lovely book, and any required medication. Forgetting a charger or toothpaste isn’t that serious; there’s a replacement for almost everything, so it’s best to have the essentials first.

Finally, the moment you cross the airport gate, stress should cease to exist. Consider this the actual start of the trip. Relish the feeling of waiting to see new places and new memories.

Good packing helps you enjoy what lies ahead. So, breathe out, pack your bags and get ready because travelling brings you immense joy; every ounce is worth it.
